Jersey accountant in Australian court on fraud charge: "Jersey accountant has appeared in an Australian court to face allegations of tax evasion and money laundering.
Philip de Figuiredo, 58, lost his two year fight against extradition in Jersey's Royal Court in November.
His arrest was part of the Operation Wickenby investigation by the Australian Crime Commission.
Mr de Figueiredo, who denies the charges, appeared in a Brisbane court on Tuesday and was released on bail pending his next appearance."
