BANKRUPT BANKER

SEC Charges Talk Radio Host In Alleged $2.5M Fraud - WSJ.com: "Securities and Exchange Commission alleged that Barbra Alexander, the host of a radio show for entrepreneurs called MoneyDots, lured investors who thought their money would be used to fund short-term loans secured by real estate. Alexander collected about $7 million from 50 investors through her firm, APS Funding Inc.
Instead, Alexander and two others 'stole' money, paying themselves $1.2 million and financing MoneyDots and other unrelated businesses with the fund, the SEC contended. Alexander even used $200,000 to remodel her kitchen, the agency alleged.
The trio furthered the scheme by paying 'investment returns' that actually came from newer investors--a 'classic Ponzi scheme,' according to the SEC.
Federal prosecutors in California filed criminal charges against the three."
