Sean Connery due in court in Marbella this month: "Actor Sean Connery and his wife have been summoned to court in Marbella (Málaga) on October 15th to give evidence in a case of corruption by the municipality planning branch.
The lawsuit has been nicknamed 'Goldfinger' after the 1964 movie in which Connery starred as British secret agent, James Bond.
It dates back to 2007 and some 20 people in complete have been charged, including the ex-mayor of Marbella Julián Muñoz and the leading witness in the infamous 'Malaya Case', the ex head of municipality planning, Juan Antonio Roca.
Up until 1999, Connery and his wife spent holidays in their chalet 'Malibú' on the front line of the beach in Marbella. today, a four-storey building, finished in 2005, stands on the plot of land where their chalet formerly stood and is known by the same name.
The judge will try to prove that a series of crimes have been dedicated in this case, including money-laundering, after the plot of land in impeach was reclassified in order to build 72 apartments."
