Hedge Fund Fraudster's Teddy Bears Sell For $1.75M: "rare teddy bear collection belonging to disgraced U.S. hedge fund manager Paul Greenwood sold for $1.75 million, Christie's Auctioneers confirmed Thursday.
Although the auction house would not confirm Greenwood, a former general partner in WG Trading Co. was the owner due to client confidentiality, a spokeswoman did tell NewsCore that it was auctioning what was considered to be 'the largest and best Steiff collection still in private hands.' Greenwood was known to fit that bill.
Among the 1,300 toys was a Harlequin teddy bear dating from 1925, which alone raised $74,164"
