The former Mayor of Glastonbury has been arrested on suspicion of fraud over his involvement with a collapsed currency exchange business.

Police carried out dawn raids at the addresses of two former directors of the Crown Currency Exchange, including 70-year-old Edward James, who is a Conservative councillor and former Mayor of Glastonbury.
The Glastonbury home of Mr James was searched and he was taken from the scene in an unmarked car while the search continued.
Mr James was a director of the company, but told investigators he had resigned at the end of 2009."
