BBC News - Former Sussex police officer admits £3,500 fraud: "former Sussex Police sergeant has pleaded guilty to fraud in connection with £3,500 worth of property.
Peter Yeats, 32, a former Neighbourhood Response Sergeant at Hastings, admitted fraud by false representation at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Sussex Police said Yeats resigned from his job on 16 September, the day he was arrested 'in relation to attempted fraud of £3,500 of found property'.
He has been remanded on bail to await sentencing at Lewes Crown Court.
The date of the sentencing has yet to be confirmed."
