Citgroup asks judge to dismiss a female juror in EMI fraud trial Business The Guardian: "In a surprising twist in the EMI fraud trial, lawyers for Citigroup demanded that district judge Jed Rakoff dismiss a juror after discovering that she – or a woman of the same name – was offered 'special thanks' in the credits of Capitalism: A Love Story, the 2009 documentary about the financial crisis by film-maker Michael Moore.
Without the presence of the jury, Citigroup's lawyer Ted Wells showed the court a clip from the anti-capitalist film, during which a family was seen packing up a house that had been foreclosed on by Citigroup. The credits paused on the name Donna Gianell, the name, it is understood, of one of the jurors."
